About Safety NET Kids
Safety NET Kids is dedicated to helping protect our youth and provide parents the tools needed to effectively educate their children. Our two safety video programs are the only child safety video series endorsed by Code Amber and focus on General Child Safety and the growing epidemic of Bullying.
Our mission is to raise the awareness level of children in the areas of bullying, child sexual abuse prevention and child abduction prevention. Our goal is to teach children how to respond if they are touched inappropriately, someone attempts to abduct them or they are mentally or physically abused by adults or their peers.

According to the National Center for the Missing, Exploited Children (NCMEC) there will be approximately 58,000 non-family abductions this year. There will be over 200,000 family abductions this year. One out of five girls and one out of every ten boys will be sexually abused before they reach adulthood. Experts estimate that 60 million adults today were sexually abused when they were children. Over 800,000 children will be reported missing this year alone. |
One out of four kids will be abused by another youth. Surveys show 77% of students are bullied mentally, verbally, and physically. 14% of those bullied said they experienced severe reactions to the abuse. 8% of students miss one day of class per month for fear of bullies. 43% fear harassment in the bathroom at school. 282,000 students are physically attacked in secondary schools each month. |
Our challenge was to find a way to educate children in these sensitive areas so as not to produce fear but to instill confidence. It was our goal to produce a video series that children would want to watch over and over to build positive safety habits.
